Vision, Mission, and Values

Vision

The vision of the American Presbyterian Church (APC) is
to develop, train, motivate, and uphold church leaders, whether
in local congregations or in more missional environments. 

Mission

The American Presbyterian Church ordains and nurtures leaders to proclaim the Gospel, cultivate missional movements, and serve effectively in churches and various ministries.

Values

We’re a principle-based organization. Rather than rigid policies or extensive processes, we have principles that guide our thinking, drive our decisions, and keep us aligned with our faith and theology.

Our principles are rooted in expressed in the following six

  • Connectedness to one another and our communities

  • Fun lived out in camaraderie and expressed in laughter 

  • Accountability to one another as we embrace the gravitas of the responsibilities for our call

Ministry Values

  • Gospel Impact proclaiming the Good News of Christ, which gives new beginnings to a broken world  

  • Theological Integrity rooted in the historic creeds (e.g., Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed) and Reformed confessions 

  • Missional Flexibility allowing each minister to proclaim the Gospel through their unique gifts and talents given by God for the Body of Christ
